A Little Boogie, A Little Bowing

Two videos we wanted to never forget from our fun Thanksgiving in Boise. First, and sorry for the sideways picture (The photographer didn't know that videos can't do that! But it is still so worth it!). This is how Tyler dances. The boy has no inhibitions! Just love it.

And here is something pretty special, in our opinion. Grandma Scott & Connor playing a duet together. I really don't know what more to say about it, other than I'm so happy to have it! Oh, and I love how the little cousins go about their business in the background. Awesome.

Thanksgiving in a Few Pictures

My kind husband had mercy on a pregnant wife and drove us to Mom's house for Thanksgiving. We met up with Ryan & Kellie's family, and frankly, it rocked. So what we needed! These are just a few of the pictures to sum up the holiday, but we'll post more later. There were too many to choose from...

The cousins got along great! Loved it. Grandma made English muffin pizzas one day for lunch. Huge success, as you can see. I'm not sure if Ty is making a silly face like Connor, or perhaps we just caught him in a silly moment?

Lucy got plenty of love and attention, whether she wanted it or not. More than Ty's undying love, though, was the affection of little Claire! That girl was born to love a dog.

Uncle Ryan face-painted for the big BYU/UTAH game on Saturday. Go Cougs! The second half could have been a bit more dominating, but we'll take the win!

Grandpa Scott with his Cougarettes...

Had to put this one in. I'm fearful that Tyler might be an adrenaline junkie like a few Hill men I could name, wink. For the record, it did not seem this high when we were watching/laughing at it. But after looking at the picture, I'm waiting for the CPA to call me. That kid is incredibly high! So, we're naming this one "Grandpa & Tyler Reach for the Stars."

Let it Snow!

We woke up to snow this morning! There was a fairly large amount on the ground, but of course, much was melted by the time the kids got home from church. Thus they rushed out after we got home but before they changed their church clothes to build a snowman or two.

Connor and Tyler made this baby all by themselves. Dave and I only knew what they were doing when they ran inside dripping wet, calling out over and over, "Carrot! Carrot!"

Beth did this little baby, along with a bit of help from Tyler, as well. Ty must have been more of a hired hand by the two competing contractors.

Three kids and two snowmen, no parental help. We think they are awful sweet - all five of them.

Families Can Be Together Forever

Connor is playing Families Can Be Together Forever tomorrow in our ward's Primary Program. I finally talked him into letting me video it. While not perfect, I do think that for seven years old he is doing really well! And I'm in awe of his courage to do this. This is my boy that for the first chunk of life was quiet and reserved in front of lots of people. Now he has no problem standing in front of the entire Primary and playing! Who knew?!?!?

Happy Birthday, T!

Recognize this sweet baby boy? Tyler William Hill, a week old back in November 2006. Holy cow, it does not seem that long ago.

And now he's 3! His two requests for his birthday - One, a Lego cake. This was the best his not-so-creative mom could do. (I iced the thing, and Connor-Brother-of-the-Year built that Legos house for us!)

And two, a birthday fish! This is Tigger the Fish, and I'm confident that Ty picked out the most sickly looking Beta that he could find. But true to the miracles that came come to little ones, he looked FABULOUS at breakfast this morning. Amazing what a little love can do, isn't it?

And here we are opening presents rather late last night...

And what could be better than your own Legos set?

TWO! AWESOME. Thanks so much, Grandma!

Happy Birthday, Duder. You are one fantastic guy. Sure love you.

Book Club & Halloween

Be prepared - the following post contains to completely random events!

I forgot to post earlier that while Grandpa Hill came to visit, he got to participate in Connor's weekly lunchtime Book Club. Grandpa made a few jokes during the reading, and Con proudly turned to his friends and boasted, "See? I told you he was funny!" To a first grader, there is no greater compliment!

I forget which book we're reading here, but it certainly looks mesmorizing, doesn't it?

And on to Halloween! Mom did NOT feel well this year, so kids got to dress themselves, and I did my best with makeup. Ty is a striped Batman, Beth is her lovely version of Tinkerbell.

See what I mean by "did my best" with makeup? I can't put regular makeup on myself, let alone Halloween facial decor, but at least you can tell what we all are! Connor was afraid to move his face, thinking his makeup would mess up. It was pretty cute.

Bundled up warm for Trick or Treating. Daddy took them around the neighborhood. Apparently, one house was decorated quite scary, and teenagers jumped out in crazy costumes to "entertain." Connor and Beth looked them in the face and declared that they weren't scared of them! Good for them. Where was Ty? Oh, holding Dad's hand while standing in the street. I say, good for him, too, smile.

Papa Hill in Yakima

We've been lucky this weekend. Knowing Dave had the flu and Krista had felt better, Grandpa Hill daringly came to visit our quarantined home - and we are SO GLAD! The fun began with Grandpa surprising the kids on Thursday night right before bed. I'm kicking myself that we didn't get it on tape. Thank you so much for coming! We stole a few pictures off of Grandpa's camera. Here we go...

Beth, Grandpa, Tyler & Connor before church. The pumpkins were a bit cool on the bottom, but Grandpa was a tough guy throughout the photo shoot. This picture sums it up - The kids have not given him any more space than this for the past three days.

Beth right before dance class. I forget the name of this position! Guess we have a few more years to education mom in that department. Beth will smile for Grandpa. I usually get a silly face when I pull out the camera...

I have no idea how long Tyler had a dirty face that day. It didn't seem to be bothering anyone, so you know...Despite the chocolate (chocolate? maybe?) that had been on his face for who knows how many hours, he's a pretty cute kid.

Beth after dance class with a surprise toy from Grandpa. Tyler is holding his own surprise of legos. Yup, it really doesn't get better than that! Thank you SO MUCH for coming, Papa Hill!
